Day 1 Arrival in Moscow

Flight from Manila or Cebu to Dubai via Emirates airlines. Stop over in Dubai for 4-6 hours then flight to Moscow.

During the flight you will have meals and a selection of movies to watch.

The flights from Manila or Cebu will approximately take 14-22 hours depending on the airline schedule.

Arrival and transfer to a 3 star hotel. You can upgrade your hotel experience to a 4 or 5 star stay.

Upon arrival, you are free to recharge yourself after the long flight and prepare for the tours that begin the next day. Don’t forget to set your watches to -5 hours from Manila time.

Day 2 Moscow City Tour

The day begins with a hotel breakfast before you depart for the 4-hour City Bus Tour.

The Bus Tour will take you around Moscow Center and will show you the historic Red Square and the Alexander Gardens, stretching along the whole length of the western Kremlin wall.

You will also see the world-renowned Bolshoi theatre, one of the most important places in the world for ballet and opera. For the best theater experience, you have the option to add a viewing of Russian Ballet to your itinerary.

Next you will see the beautiful Christ the Saviour Cathedral and the Ensemble of the Novodevichy Convent, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you will learn more about the rich history of Russian Orthodoxy that stretches back more than a thousand years.

Afterwards, you will be brought to the Sparrow Hills, a place immortalized in Russian literature. The observation deck on Sparrow Hills gives you the best panoramic view of the city.

The bus tour will pass Moscow State University, Poklonnaya Hill and Victory Park, then the Stalin skyscrapers and the main city streets and squares of Moscow.

After the tour, travelers are free to visit more city spots or return to the hotel.

Day 3 Kremlin and Moscow Metro

The day begins again with a hotel breakfast before departing for a 4-hour tour to the Kremlin.

The tour will show you the public areas of the Moscow Kremlin, the most popular of the Russian kremlins (fortresses/citadels) and is now the seat of modern Russian government.

Here you will see how Russian culture developed through the centuries. The ground of the Kremlin has been inhabited since the 2nd century and the building standing there now originate from the 14th-20th centuries.

The Kremlin tour ends with a visit to one of the cathedrals.

After the Kremlin you will go underground – it’s time to experience the Moscow Metro ride.

It’s no ordinary subway, each station is a palatial building, created not only as practical places but works of art, filled almost all mediums imaginable from carved marble and bronze to stained glass, rivalling museums.

Day 4 VDNH, Space Museum and night train to St Petersburg

You begin with a hotel breakfast before check out, the luggage will wait for you in the hotel.

You will explore the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics in Moscow, dedicated to Soviet and Russian space exploration. Here, you will see space-related exhibits and models which show the history of flight, astronomy, space exploration, space technology, and space in the arts.

Fun fact, the first space travelers were Russian dogs Belka and Strelka, whose contributions to space research eventually sent the first human to space, cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.

You will then have a walking tour in the VDNH Park to view the majestic fountains and gardens.

After the tour, you will have free time to explore before the night train to St. Petersburg. You will spend the night on the train, giving you a romantic railway experience like a Victorian traveller.

Day 5 St Petersburg City Tour

You begin your St. Petersburg experience with a breakfast in one of the city’s restaurants before the day’s 4-hour tour.

You’ll have the most exciting tour of the culture and architecture of the most beautiful city in Russia. You will have time for plenty of picture-taking.

You’ll get panoramic views over the Neva river and beautiful central squares. You will see all the world famous landmarks of the city: the Spit of Basil (Vasilievsky) Island, Saint Isaac’s cathedral (one of the most widely known landmarks).

Palace embankment and jaw-dropping Palace Square – the heart of the city that witnessed so many dramatic events, the Winter Palace, Mikhailovsky castle and many others.

Day 6 Hermitage Tour

Day 6 begins with breakfast at the hotel then a tour to Hermitage museum (4 hours).

The Hermitage Museum is one of the most famous palace and museum in Russia and the second largest art museum in the world founded by Catherine the Great.

You will see paintings of the most famous painters in the world, sculptures, collections of artefacts and archaeological pieces from countless countries.

The Hermitage is so large that if you will spend few minutes for each display, you will need a whole week for all of them.

Even walking inside the palace will give you the feelings of stepping into the past, surrounded by imperial architecture and decor that will make you feel like a time traveller.

Optionally you can stay longer in the museum after the guided tour or you can get extra activities and adventures in the evening.

Day 7 Peterhof Tour

Breakfast at the hotel then tour to Peterhof (5 hours).

The Peterhof Palace was commissioned by Peter the Great to rival Versailles in grand architecture and garden complexes, which in turn set the style the rest of Saint Petersburg in the Petrine Baroque architecture.

No expense was spared in Peterhof and it’s still evident today with the recreated structures and sights still perfectly maintained, including 4 cascades and 173 golden fountains that took 100 years to finish.

The complex was destroyed in World War and the post-war resurrection of the entire complex was one of the finest chapters in the history of restoration in Russia.

Peterhof includes 5 parks and 15 museums. From March to October you can catch strange yet beautiful fountains during your walk on the park, like fountains in the middle of a road.

You can also spot Peterhof resident squirrels you can feed nuts on your walk.

Day 8 Pavlovsk Tour

Breakfast at the hotel then tour to Pavlovsk (5 hours).

Today you will walk a lot. Pavlovsk offers a huge park with 600 kilometers of pathways.

Pavlovsk Palace will show you how Russian Kings liked to decorate their palaces. Interiors full of gold and light, opulent furniture and luxurious ballrooms for royal banquets.

Optional tour – Tsarskoe Selo + Pushkin.

Or you can chose another tour to fill up your last evening in St Petersburg.
